ABOUT

Our Town by Thorton Wilder follows the story of a young couple named George and Emily through the eyes of the narrator, the Stage Manager. This show is divided into three acts; daily life, love and marriage, and finally, death. In the first act, the audience experiences a day in the life of the two teenagers and their families. In the second act, George and Emily are to be wed and the audience experiences the anticipation of the wedding from all sides of the family. In the third act, Emily has died and the true theme of the show is revealed; life goes by too quickly and must be cherished while it lasts.
