The classic musical, "Cabaret," set in a decadent nightclub in pre-World War II Berlin, is performed this weekend at Staples High School by the Staples Players Summer Theatre.

 

 

"Players has a long history with `Cabaret,' " said David Roth, Staples Players director, who himself had the lead role of MC in a 1984 production when he was a senior at Staples High School. Two former Staples Players who performed in the 1993 production,

 

Kat and Jess Eggart, have also returned to Staples 20 years later to choreograph the show.
