The Wiz is a modern day adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz”. Dorothy, a restless Kansas farm girl, is transported by a tornado to a magical world of Munchkins, witches, and a yellow brick road.

Her journey to the Emerald City introduces her to the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion, with whom she ventures to meet the Wizard of Oz. To get back to Kansas, Dorothy must battle the Wicked Witch of the West and eventually learn that there really is “no place like home.”
